What kinds of programs are available at GEOS schools? There are a lot of different programs available at our schools. At different locations, students can study Comprehensive and Intensive English, TOEIC Test Preparation, TOEFL iBT Test Preparation, IELTS Test preparation, TESL and TEC Certificate Programs, Work and Study/Internship Programs, Pathway Programs, Business English/French, Study Tours, and Elective Programs. Some schools also offer lessons for languages other than English. Please check with the school to find out which programs are offered at different times throughout the year. Can I study French full time at any of your schools? You can study French full time (Comprehensive French Program) at GEOS Montreal. There are set start times for beginner programs, so please contact the school directly for the CFP schedule. Fees are the same as those for the Comprehensive English Program (CEP) at those schools. How many levels of English classes do you offer? Each GEOS school offers 6 levels of English instruction, from Beginner to Advanced. Your will complete an evaluation that measures your listening, grammar, vocabulary, writing and speaking skills. It combines a written test with an interview to determine the best level for you. How long does it take to complete a level? Every student has different learning patterns and habits. Usually, each level can be completed in one semester and each semester has three 4-week sessions, for a total of 12 weeks at one level. However, students can move sooner if they meet the achievement requirements for their level. Do I get a certificate when I finish my studies? If you have attended more than 80% of the lessons, have completed assignments and have achieved a passing grade, then you will receive a “Certificate of Completion” that shows how long you have studied and at what level.
